ex Cinema Embassy

In the heart of Modena’s city center, Cinema Embassy was a very famous old cinema theater closed to the general public in 2013. Ushadesign as part of a creative collective with other communication professionals was asked to develop a strategy to reopen it as a high-scale mini supermarket & restaurant. An essential part of our project was to maintain the well known logo and history of the place by simply bringing cinema and food together.

We decided to just restyle the existing cinema logo, and worked with two colour schemes to differentiate the upper floor restaurant from the lower floor mini market. Great care was also given to the collateral graphic material as well as the selection of the internal photos, taken directly from food themed movies. Concept photographer: Elena Romani
