Poetic Jamming

A group of Venezuelan poets gather occasionally to share their work with friends and public, and the result is a night of wine and poetry, in which by the end of the evening they have created a group of interrelated poems through mutual inspiration. The final effect is so special they decided to create a keepsake, so the “mermeladas” were born (“mermelada” in Spanish means jam).

These series of booklets each have an individual style, each issue has a selected artist, photographer, illustrator or designer, to maintain the synergy that comes across the gatherings. These are also sold in hand-picked libraries in Venezuela, New York and Paris. Ushadesign created the logo, some of the designs and was in charge of the art direction and curatorship of the booklets.
